Our studio photography captures the essence of Muti Gin’s rich, herb-infused flavours, presenting a bold yet sophisticated aesthetic. The word "Muti," derived from the Zulu word “umuthi”, meaning "tree," reflects the deep-rooted traditions of African healers. The client wanted to highlight the authentic African essence of Muti Gin, showcasing its unique botanical ingredients. They requested visuals that celebrate the rich, complex flavours of the gin while evoking a sense of heritage, tradition, and craftsmanship. The brand aims to connect with an upscale audience that appreciates high-quality, artisanal spirits. The brief emphasised the importance of a natural, yet modern aesthetic, reflecting both the roots of African culture and the innovation behind the product.

The LUMINIS team approached the project with a focus on authenticity and craftsmanship. Our creative concept merged traditional African elements with modern design, capturing the essence of the botanicals in a sophisticated yet grounded way. We used high-contrast lighting and natural textures to highlight the organic roots of Muti Gin, while also introducing sleek, modern design elements to showcase the premium quality of the product.
The visuals included dynamic shots of the botanicals, the gin in motion, and rich textures that evoke the natural landscape of Africa. The concept was designed to resonate with the brand’s dedication to both tradition and innovation, celebrating the artistry behind the distillation process.

We created a refined studio shoot for Muti Gin, combining elegant visuals and atmospheric lighting to highlight the brand’s unique botanicals and premium identity. The imagery artfully blends traditional African elements with contemporary styling, focusing on key botanicals like Kusmalva, Juniper, Angelica Root, and Coriander. Through rich textures, close-up compositions, and carefully considered lighting, we brought the gin’s citrusy, herbal, and subtly spicy flavour profile to life—capturing both its depth and refreshing character.

The final deliverables effectively brought the vision of Muti Gin to life, blending traditional African heritage with a modern, upscale aesthetic. The images and narrative successfully communicated the artisanal craftsmanship and rich, botanical flavours of the gin, appealing to a high-end audience that values both authenticity and quality.
